How do I know if I have an existing warranty on my air conditioner?

Great question. If the equipment is less than five years old it might have a warranty, but it might not (it depends on the manufacturer). Warranty terms and conditions can vary by manufacturer and even the original company that installed the unit. Call our office today and we can help you determine if your system is still under warranty.

When changing the outdoor system, should the indoor unit also be changed?

We hear this question quite often. The answer is typically yes, but it might depend on a few factors. Are they matched system design, or do they have an advanced design? Are they high cooling and heating efficient? How old are they? As you can see it can depend on many factors. Rest assured, our staff will help you make a good decision and explain the pros and cons of any decisions you might need to make.

Why is my AC system freezing up?

There are many possibilities that can trigger your HVAC system to freeze up but most need to be corrected by a professional technician. Determining if the air filter is clean or replaced and confirming the airflow is not restricted are about the only things a homeowner should safely handle themselves. Issues after that could be low refrigerant, dirty evaporator coil, defective blower motor or relays among others.

Is it important to have regular maintenance on my air conditioning unit?

Yes. Just like you maintain a car (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.) tunes up on A/C units can help them last longer and operate more efficiently which saves you money.

Should I install a zoned system?

That can depend but new zoning system can fix hot and cold spots or special temperature requirements in your home. So when your new Carrier equipment is coordinated by a zoning system, you gain customized temperature control in each zone of the home.

Can you help eliminate odors inside my home?

Most home owners try covering up odors by spraying air fresheners or lighting candles. Unfortunately, these tactics only mask the odors, they don’t get rid of them. In fact those remedies may make your air quality worse because they cause allergic reactions or eye irritation. I own a printing company and for the A/C to be down when it is 90 degrees causes us to have loss with humidity soaring and ruining paper, rusting metal surfaces and causing machines to jam.  Russell understands this and he made several trips to Little Rock to make sure he had all of the equipment that needed to be replaced there the next day. They also let me know that my unit need to be replaced. What made them different was they gave me many options as well as recommendations for my unit that is in my attic. I decided at that point to go with them. They came out quickly and were very knowledgeable and nice. I decided to purchase a new AC unit with LSC and they did not disappoint!
